Why watch horror movies?

A question I'm wondering all along.
Well, God gave you peace. Tranquility. Why watch horror movies and scare yourselves? Is it a healthy 'practice'? Sure it's not.

Ever since I was small, I never watch a single horror movie. Ever, seriously.
But I played horror games before, makes me think stupid things.

well its up to individual lor.

i used to watch all kinds of movie cos my dad was an avid movie watcher. n horror movie freaks me out like crazy. one day my fren asked me if u r scared y watch it? so yea i just took a stand.. and stopped watching.

life offers many choices, most time u jus need to take a stand. if it's not healthy for you, then stop it. but it doesnt effect everyone the same way. so know thyself!

u noe actually my parents discourage us to watch cz it may have evil spirits behind it....although we dunno it...so ya...& God dosn't giv u the spirit of fear...so y wanna go through the scary moment & then ask God 2 help u overcome then ....so y gpo through the trouble....????

Talking about scary movies, I watched 'I am Legend' with my cousin today. It scared me out of my wits. Half the time I had my fingers in my ears and my eyes shut tight.

Really regret the six bucks I spent on the movie ticket. The story was okay and I have to say that Will Smith's acting was excellent, but there was too much monsters leaping out of the dark and screaming bloody murder all over the place.

The thing is, I felt my heart jump many times throughout the movie and I'm wondering if that's even healthy. Of course, the gory images stick in your mind and that's probably not very healthy either, in an emotional sense.

So yeah, no more scary movies for me.
